Non-Potable Reuse Program

San Francisco, CA

Lotus, in collaboration with RMC, is directly supporting SFPUC in implementing their progressive Recycled Water and Non-Potable Reuse programs. Tasks include facilitating the conversion of Golden Gate Park irrigation to recycled water — believed to be the largest urban park recycled water retrofit in the country. Lotus is also providing technical analysis to support implementation of SFPUC’s ongoing non-potable grant program and the City’s non-potable ordinance. This includes analyzing potential impacts and means of compliance with the recent amendment to the non-potable ordinance, which requires all new construction in San Francisco over 250,000 sq. ft. to install alternative water sources for toilet, urinal, and irrigation demands.
