Pier 70 + Mission Rock Special Use Districts Technical Support Services

SAN FRANCISCO, CA

< PROJECTS

The Port of San Francisco (Port) is currently managing multiple high-profile waterfront redevelopment projects. Two of these projects, the Pier 70 and Mission Rock Special Use Districts, are in the early stages of implementation, with Phase 1 horizontal infrastructure under construction and the planning and design well underway for the subsequent phases of infrastructure and vertical development. Lotus Water is leading a multi-disciplinary team providing the Port with a variety of technical and project management support services. This support has included facilitating the review and approval of various maps and new infrastructure systems, assisting Port and other agency staff with efficiently fulfilling their obligations for expeditiously processing submittals for the projects, and provide recommendations on the issuance of the Port’s Determination of Completion for construction activities.

Lotus is also responsible for facilitating the overall City review process for infrastructure permit applications and ancillary materials, including plan review and comment reconciliation. Lotus staff perform supplemental technical review of infrastructure submissions with a focus on the Port’s proprietary role and authority for permitting, including compliance with the City’s non-potable reuse ordinance, advise the Port on infrastructure issues and provide constructive feedback recommendations, and work directly with the development teams to resolve design and construction issues.
