Stormwater management requirements in the Lake Tahoe Basin are some of the most stringent in California. Lotus has led the design and implementation of green infrastructure projects at eight sites around the basin. The projects tested numerous BMP treatment technologies to assess effectiveness at meeting the sediment and nutrient limits set by the local planning agency and Department of Transportation’s NPDES permit. Responsibilities included site selection, BMP design, hydraulic and hydrologic modeling, permitting, monitoring, and construction inspection.
